Vanpool Hawaii makes starting a Cool Pool simple and painless. Just follow these easy steps:

• It only takes one primary driver and three riders to start. Spread the idea of Cool Pooling to work with friends, co-workers and neighbors. Children may join as long as a parent rides in the Cool Pool. Can't find three people? No problem! Vanpool Hawaii maintains a database of other riders who could join your Cool Pool. Just pick up the phone and dial 596-VANS.
  
  
• Once you got your Cool Pool started, plan ahead and have alternate drivers available in case of an emergency or in the event that the primary driver is unable to drive the Cool Pool. All drivers must be at least 25 years of age. Each must have a clean driving abstract and current driver's license, and be employed full-time or be a full-time student.
  
  
• Complete and submit the Commuter Vanpool Application form (Section I only).
  
  
• Once the application is submitted, Vanpool Hawaii will contact you about providing driver abstracts for the primary and alternate drivers, and a list of your passengers and their commuter information. Complete the Passenger Information Sheet on-line.
  
  
• Upon final approval, you're ready to go! We will set up a time to meet with you to hand over the keys to your stylish Cool Pool. The first Cool Pool payment will be due at this time.
